Critical Film Care
To extend the life of your film and maintain warranty coverage, you must follow these care instructions:
- Do not roll down windows for a period of 5 days until the film has properly adhered to the glass.
- Do not wash the film for thirty (30) days after installation.
- Do not use abrasive cleaners or coarse cloths. Use a mild soap and a clean, soft cloth or synthetic sponge.
Warranty Validation Requirements
There are no other warranties either expressed or implied. This warranty applies only to manufacturing quality. The following information must be complete to validate your lifetime warranty (Void if not completely filled out):
What to Expect: The Normal Curing Process
Our premium window films require a reasonable curing time to facilitate a proper bond to the glass. During this 30-day curing time, some NORMAL changes may be noticed. Here is what you should expect to see:
Haziness & Milky Appearance
If haziness and/or a smoky or milky appearance occurs, it is simply the soapy solution used during installation. This will disappear as the curing time passes.
Water Bubbles
All water bubbles will dry out. A few small particles may be seen from the exterior after curing—these are pinhead-sized globules of adhesive that have not cured to perfect clarity and are normal.
Dust Particles
On occasion, a grain of dust or sand may be captured that cannot be eliminated. You may expect your film to highlight pre-existing imperfections in the glass.
How to Look at Tint
Observe the installation from 2 to 3 feet away. This is how we normally look through a window. You should observe your new film by looking through it, not at it.
Light Borders & Splices
There may be a thin line of light bordering your window film; this is proper protocol. On very large glass, a horizontal or vertical splice seam may be necessary.
Proper Cleaning
Clean with a soft towel or squeegee. Never use ammonia-based products, vinegar, or abrasive pads. Use mild soap and water, or alcohol and water.
